Our Safeguarding Team

At Chapelford we have a very strong team who are responsible for the leadership of safeguarding. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Tottie.  Our Deputy Designated Leads are Mrs Stewart and Mrs McDavid. They are supported wider by our Safeguarding Team.

Our Designated Safeguarding Governor is Mr Duffy who is responsible for the monitoring of all safeguarding procedures each half term.

Our Strategic Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Malone, who is responsible for the monitoring of all safeguarding across Omega Multi-Academy Trust.

Our Designated Safeguarding Governor 

Our Designated Safeguarding Governor is Mr Paul Duffy. 

Paul has worked in the public sector for over 20 years and moved to live in Warrington at the start of his career to work as a psychologist in the prison service. He moved into social care 15 years ago, and now works in Warrington as the Lead Responsible Officer for the Safeguarding Adults Board, the Safeguarding Children Partnership, the Domestic Abuse Partnership and the council’s customer services department. Much of his role involves working with police, health agencies, the council, schools and academies, charities and third sector organisations to help improve how the most vulnerable people in Warrington are supported to stay safe and live well.

Paul says that he is lucky to have been afforded many opportunities in his life to gain valuable experiences and he would like to be able to give back to the community and help in any way that he can.

Paul has worked with schools for many years in different capacities, but in the last couple of years he has seen first-hand and has been inspired, as a dad, on how hard school staff all work. The efforts that he sees every day in support of the children was the spur for him to apply to join as a governor.

Paul says "I always had a great respect for the work of colleagues working in schools. Since my daughter started at the school, that respect has grown a great deal; I don't think I realised the extent of the energy and commitment that was needed to hold a community like our school together in harmony, but I realise now that it is tremendous."
