Children in Need day is taking place on Friday 18th November. Your School Council have been working hard to think of ideas for Children in Need which are a little bit different and match the theme for this year, thank you for the ideas you all shared with us in class. We took these to our meeting and used them to make a plan for the day.

This year, we will be holding different events to raise money for this amazing cause. To start the week, we will be coming round to your classes with a teddy bear that has his favourite kind word as his name and the aim of this game is to guess the teddy’s name to win the teddy. This will cost 50p per guess and you will have chance to take part from Monday to Thursday (14th – 17th November).

On Friday 18th November, we will be hosting a ‘Bear Pong’ game where the aim of the game is to get the highest score from three balls and there will a prize for the highest score within your year group. This will cost 20p per turn.

With Children in Need and Anti Bullying week being in the same week, we are embracing the rainbow theme for a Bake Off competition on Friday (18th November) where the cakes will be judged and a prize given for first, second and third place. Your entry can be any baked product with a rainbow theme eg biscuits, cupcakes, large cake. There is no cost to enter and you will be not only having fun baking and showing off your talents, but will raise money for CIN when your baked goods are sold at the end of the day. The bake sale will take place at 3:15 outside the year 6 classrooms on the playground.

To further support rainbow theme, we are turning our school into a rainbow of colour and you can come in your own clothes that are the colour of your year group. It can be as much or as little of the colour as you like! Please could you bring in a donation and the school councillors will come round and collect from your classes. We will let you know how much the school has managed to raise at the end of the day. The colours for the day are:

EYFS  dark red/ maroon

Year 1 yellow

Year 2  pink/ light red

Year 3 green

Year 4 orange

Year 5 purple

Year 6 blue
