Our Current Goal
Accessible & Inclusive Playground Development
We are fundraising to create a playground that every child can enjoy, explore and thrive in, regardless of need or ability.
Who we are and what we do
ChaPTA is the parent and community group for Chapelford Village Primary School. Made up of parent, grandparent and carer volunteers, we work together to support our school, our children and our wider community.
As a parent or carer at Chapelford Village Primary School, you're automatically a member of chaPTA. We believe every family has a voice, and we aim to represent the interests of our children while helping to make our school an even better place to learn, grow and thrive.
Working Together for Our Children
We work in partnership with the school, families and the wider community to provide opportunities, experiences and resources that enrich school life. Through fundraising events, community initiatives and volunteer support, we help provide additional equipment, resources and experiences that may not be possible through the school budget alone.
Over the years, chaPTA has raised thousands of pounds which have been invested directly back into the school, helping to enhance learning opportunities and improve facilities for all our children.
More Than Fundraising
While fundraising is an important part of what we do, chaPTA is about much more than raising money. We are here to strengthen the connection between home and school, create a sense of community, and bring families together.
Whether you're looking to meet new people, support school events, share ideas, or simply play a small part in helping our children succeed, there's a place for everyone in chaPTA.
Together, we can make a real difference to the experiences and opportunities available to every child at Chapelford Village Primary School
The people behind the events
A Team That Represents Our School Community
One of ChaPTA's greatest strengths is the mix of parents, carers and school staff on our committee. This balance gives us a range of perspectives and helps ensure that the voices of families and the school work together towards the same goal: providing the very best experiences and opportunities for our children.
By bringing together people from different backgrounds and experiences, we can better understand what matters most to our school community, share ideas openly and make decisions that benefit all children. The strong partnership between home and school helps us create events, projects and fundraising initiatives that truly meet the needs of our pupils while strengthening our school community.
Whether you're a parent, grandparent, carer or member of staff, every contribution is valued and every voice helps shape the future of Chapelford Village Primary School.

Role: The Treasurer manages ChaPTA's finances, including budgeting, banking, reporting and ensuring all funds raised are recorded and spent responsibly for the benefit of the school.
Role: The Vice-Treasurer supports the Treasurer with financial administration, assists at fundraising events and helps maintain accurate financial records.
Role: The Secretary is responsible for organising meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and maintaining committee records. In addition, the Secretary manages ChaPTA's social media channels, helping to keep families informed, celebrate school successes and promote upcoming events and opportunities to get involved and produces the half-termly newsletter.
What we're working towards
Every event, donation and volunteer contribution helps us make a real difference to the children of Chapelford Village Primary School. Over the years, ChaPTA has funded a range of projects that have enhanced both learning and play opportunities across the school. These have included improvements such as the artificial grass area, widening the school gate to improve access, reading-area cushions and the trim trail, creating spaces where children can learn, explore and enjoy their school environment.
Our Current Focus: An Inclusive and Accessible Playground
Our main goal is to help create a playground that is welcoming, accessible and enjoyable for every child. We believe that all children should have opportunities to play, socialise, be active and develop important life skills, regardless of their needs or abilities.
By working closely with the school, families and the wider community, we are supporting the long-term development of a playground that can continue to grow and evolve over time. This means creating spaces and equipment that are accessible, inclusive and designed to meet the needs of both current and future pupils.
Building for the Future
Rather than viewing this as a single project, we see it as an ongoing journey. As new ideas emerge and funding becomes available, we will continue to develop the playground in phases, ensuring that each improvement has a lasting impact on our children and school community
Ways you can support us
ChaPTA is at its best when lots of people contribute in ways that work for them. We know that family life is busy, so there is no expectation that everyone gives the same amount of time. Whether you can help once a year or on a regular basis, every contribution makes a difference.
There are lots of ways to get involved:
-
Volunteer at Events
Help out at a school fair, disco, Christmas event, sports day or one of our many fundraising activities. Even an hour of your time can make a big difference.
-
Donate Goods or Prizes
We are always grateful for donations of raffle prizes, event supplies, refreshments or items that can be used to support fundraising activities.
-
Share Your Ideas
Have a great idea for an event, fundraiser or community project? We'd love to hear it. Fresh ideas help keep our events exciting and relevant for our families.
-
Support Our Fundraising
You can help simply by taking part in our events, purchasing tickets, spreading the word or using easyfundraising when you shop online.
-
Join the Committee
If you'd like to take a more active role, consider joining the committee or helping with a specific project. You don't need any special experience, just enthusiasm and a desire to support our children and school community.
-
Every Contribution Counts
Some volunteers help at every event, while others can only spare a little time occasionally. Both are equally valued. ChaPTA succeeds because lots of people contribute in different ways, bringing their own skills, ideas and energy.
By getting involved, you'll help create memorable experiences for our children, strengthen our school community and support projects that make a lasting difference across the school.
Fundraising events, community activities and important dates for 2026-27.
There’s lots to look forward to with chaPTA this year! From our much-loved fairs and discos to exciting fundraising activities and community events, there are plenty of opportunities to come together, have fun and make a difference for our children.
Take a look at our annual schedule below to see what’s coming up and save the dates. We’ll share further details and reminders through the school’s Facebook page, website and chaPTA newsletters.
We believe in being open, transparent and keeping our school community informed about the work of ChaPTA. After each meeting, a summary of key discussions, decisions and upcoming plans will be shared here. This gives all parents, carers and staff the opportunity to stay up to date, even if they are unable to attend meetings in person.
Keep up to date with everything happening in ChaPTA and across our fundraising projects.
