Our School Values
We are proud to be recognised as a High Performance Learning (HPL) school. At the heart of our approach is a belief that all children can achieve high levels of success. We encourage every pupil to Learn, Achieve, and Respect - both as learners in school and as future members of the wider community.
Children are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a nurturing and safe environment for every child where they can thrive and feel supported to achieve their potential. We are dedicated to ensuring all children “Learn, Achieve and Respect”.
Learn
to provide an exceptional primary education for all children that is creative, inspiring, challenging and purposeful. This allows all children to become articulate and independent, responsible and confident citizens of the future.
Achieve
to provide an exceptional primary education for all children that promotes and nurtures beliefs and values that allow all pupils to achieve their potential.
Respect
to provide an exceptional primary education for all children that promotes mutual respect for individual talents and diversity regardless of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation or ethnicity.
The HPL philosophy is embedded across our school. We do not tell our students they can't do something - instead, we help them understand that while they may not be able to do it yet, with practice and perseverance, they will succeed.
As part of our HPL journey, we have integrated the Values, Attitudes and Attributes (VAAs) into our school ethos of Learn, Achieve, Respect, which is proudly displayed under our school logo. These values help guide pupil behaviour and are promoted through classroom learning and whole-school assemblies.
We also teach Advanced Cognitive Performance Characteristics (ACPs), which develop how our pupils think and approach learning. We encourage parents and carers to ask their children about the Values and ACPs at home and follow our social media channels to see how children are demonstrating these powerful learning behaviours in school.
