Healthy Bodies, Happy Minds
At Chapelford Village Primary School, we believe that physical activity plays a vital role in supporting both the physical and mental wellbeing of our children. Staying active helps to build confidence, resilience and a positive mindset, enabling our pupils to approach their learning with energy and enthusiasm.

We provide a wide range of sporting opportunities and competitions for individuals and teams, including football tournaments, bowling, athletics, rugby, golf, gymnastics and rounders. Our inter-house competitions promote collaboration, teamwork and a sense of belonging across the school, while our trust-wide events offer pupils the chance to connect with others across our Multi Academy Trust, celebrate their achievements and take pride in representing Chapelford.
In addition to this, we provide a variety of enrichment activities that further support our pupils’ development and wellbeing, including:
- Bikeability – balance bikes in EYFS and cycling skill development in Year 5
- Rugby coaching with the Warrington Wolves for Year 3
- Swimming lessons as part of the Year 5 curriculum
- Focus days and themed events such as Healthy Schools Week and Sports Day, promoting active lifestyles and the joy of movement.
