Supporting Your Child

In June our Year Four children will be completing the Statutory Multiplication check.

The links on this page will provide parents with more information and support your child with practice for this test.

At the heart of our school are a set of core values under the Chapelford framework, some of which are values adopted from the High-Performance Learning framework:

  • Collaborative (HPL)
  • Helpful
  • Aspirations
  • Perseverance (HPL)
  • Enterprising (HPL)
  • Listening
  • Fearless
  • Open-minded (HPL)
  • Resilience (HPL)
  • Dynamic

In Year 4, we try to consider these skills on a daily basis as it sets the perfect foundations for us to 'Learn, Achieve and Respect'. Over the last few weeks, we have also been considering the cognitive characteristics (ACPS), such as meta-thinking, linking and self regulation, to best achieve our own goals. Take a look at some photographs of HPL in action!

At Chapelford Primary School, we recognise the vital role that home learning plays in supporting our pupils’ progress and fostering a love of lifelong learning. Our home learning expectations are designed to complement classroom teaching, encourage independent study habits, and strengthen the partnership between school and families.

We aim to provide meaningful and engaging tasks that enable children to consolidate their learning, develop new skills, and share their achievements with those at home. Together, we can ensure that every child reaches their full potential both in school and beyond.
