Thank you to everyone that purchased something from last week's book fair.

Your kindness means that we now have around £650 to spend on additional books in school, to further enhance our libraries with some wonderful high quality texts. 

Here at Chapelford we believe that in order to get the best start in life every child deserves the opportunity to be an age related reader by the time they leave in Year 6. Over the last year we have been fortunate enough to make a capital investment in our reading scheme, right through from our early readers, phonics and picture books to our guided read and chapter books at the higher end of school.

In addition to the academic approach to reading, we want every child to have a love of reading, over the coming weeks we will be announcing our school reading ambassadors, and celebrating through those children the amazing work of a different variety of authors, genres, and they will be making reading recommendations to the other children in school.
