All children at Chapelford Village Primary School have taken part within a first aid session, teaching them key skills that can help to save a life!

Reception children learnt about safe eating and discussed how important it is to 'sit, chop and chew' their food safely. Year 1 and 2 are now experts in what to do if someone has bumped their head and how to get help in an emergency. Our trainer suggested that it would be useful for our KS1 children to learn their address so that in an event they would be able to state where the person is who needs help. Years 3-6 practised CPR, how to save someone from choking and what to do if someone has suffered a burn. We are very proud of our children for learning these important life skills. All children received a certificate to celebrate this achievement and hopefully have come home and shared their new skills with family and friends. A huge thank you to Mini First Aid Warrington who have shared their knowledge and skills with us and we hope to see you again next year! #minifirstaidwarrington
