Year 1 First Aid

Our Year 1 children took part in their annual Mini First Aid training, developing important knowledge and practical skills to help keep themselves and others safe.

During the session, children learnt how to apply a plaster safely and what to do if someone bumps their head. Through practical, age-appropriate activities, they began to understand how to respond to minor accidents, when to seek help from an adult and why it is important to stay calm.

Our annual Mini First Aid sessions form part of our progressive curriculum, allowing children to revisit and build on their knowledge as they move through school. These valuable experiences help develop essential life skills, giving children greater confidence in recognising when someone needs help and understanding how they can respond appropriately.
