Year 4's residential trip to Chester was a resounding success, with the children enjoying a range of activities including fencing, orienteering, map skills, and the hit of the trip, buggy building. Throughout the challenges, the children demonstrated all of the school's values, including collaboration, resilience, and open-mindedness. They worked well together as a team, showing impressive problem-solving skills and adaptability when faced with setbacks, making it a truly memorable experience for all.

The kids had a treat with the delicious food options, including pizza and mac and cheese for dinner, and a buffet-style breakfast in the morning that was a big hit. Meanwhile, the Chapelford staff were impressed by the children's exceptional behavior and respect towards all the staff working on the site, showcasing great manners and teamwork during their two-day stay.

Mrs Stewart, the Educational Visit Co-ordinator at Chapelford, has been on all of the residential visits this year and is thrilled to see the children flourish in different environments. She believes that these trips provide a unique opportunity for our pupils to develop important skills such as teamwork, and she takes great pride in offering this experience to Years 2 to 6 students. The final residential trip of the year is coming up next week when we take the Year 2 children on their first ever overnight trip with school. Mrs Stewart said, "This is a new trip for us and we are so excited to see what's in store for our Year 2s."
