What an exciting beginning to the sporting year at Chapelford! Our school proudly fielded teams at nine different football tournaments with both boys and girls showcasing their talent and representing Chapelford. We qualified for several Warrington Finals and even the Cheshire County finals! Over the course of this half term alone, approximately 90 children, a mixture of boys and girls, have represented us with great spirit and skill.

Starting the half-term strong, our boys’ teams triumphed in winning 3 out of 4 tournaments, securing 3rd place in the remaining one. A special shoutout to our Year 6 boys, who will represent us at the Cheshire County finals in Crewe in early 2025. Congratulations, boys! Our Players of the Tournaments are:

  • Liam (Y2)
  • Kaden (Y3)
  • Connor (Y4)
  • Dahat (Y5)
  • Harry (Y6)

Our girls’ teams have also made us proud, winning 1 of the 4 tournaments and qualifying for the Warrington Finals in 3 of them. The increase in participation among our girls has truly elevated the quality of our teams. Fantastic effort, girls! Our Players of the Tournaments are:

  • Lillie (Y3)
  • Maisie (Y4)
  • Florence (Y5)
  • Millie (Y6)

Throughout all the tournaments, our teams scored an impressive 102 goals while conceding only 40 over 48 matches. This remarkable performance showcases our commitment to strong defending and sharp shooting!

Mr Capper said, "It has been a joy to coach our football teams this half-term. Witnessing the children enjoy the game with big smiles and great attitudes—both in victory and defeat—embodies the spirit we strive for in our sports stars."

Stay tuned for more footballing success as we head toward the Finals later this school year!
