Neil Armstrong Workshop

The children in Year 1 were so lucky to receive a visit from a special historian who could tell them all about Neil Armstrong and his journey to becoming a world-famous astronaut. The children dressed up in costumes and acted out his life, from his first flight on a plane at 6years old in a plane called the Tin Goose to becoming the first man to walk on the moon. Year 1 even handled lots of artifacts that came from the 1960's such as commemorative plates, newspapers, stamps and toys. They also excavated some moon rocks to experience what it might have been like on the moon collecting the first samples to ever return to earth.
