A message to Year 6

To Our Wonderful Year 6
From all the staff at Chapelford Primary School.
To our children in Year 6, the time is near,
The SATs week we’ve been talking about is almost here.
But just before the pencils start to glide,
We’d like to take a moment to share our joy and pride.
From EYFS in tiny shoes,
To singing Nativity festive tunes,
You’ve grown and learned in many ways,
Through the busiest of terms and the happiest of days.
From Llandudno’s breeze to forest trails,
You’ve braved new paths, you’ve set your sails.
Helping friends and leading too,
Each step you took showed the best of you.
Now the SATs may seem a mighty thing,
But they certainly don’t show the joy you bring.
They don’t reflect your truest you—
Your kindness, courage, all you do.
Soon you'll step through a brand-new door,
With dreams to chase and paths to explore.
But wherever you wander, wherever you roam,
Chapelford will always be your home.
So try your best, and then let go,
The tests will pass before you know.
And after that? A summer cheer,
With memories to make right here!
We’re proud of all you’ve grown to be,
So much more than a test can see.
So smile, breathe deep, and hold your head high,
You're stars already—reach the sky!
