As we reach the end of our first half term, it’s the perfect time to pause, reflect, and celebrate everything that’s been achieved here at Chapelford. This half term has been filled with exciting learning, new experiences and countless moments of pride across the school.

We believe it’s so important for teachers, children, and everyone in our school community to take a moment to appreciate how far we’ve come - not just academically, but personally and socially too. Life at Chapelford is wonderfully busy, but moments like this remind us to celebrate the progress, effort, and achievements that happen every single day.

As part of our Values Curriculum, children have spent time reflecting on their highlights of the half term and making links between their experiences and our school values and seeing those values truly come to life. Whether it’s through joining a new club, competing in a competition, making progress in lessons, or strengthening friendships, every child has something to be proud of.

We asked the children to think about the following questions as part of their reflection:
Which personal skills do you think you have improved this half term?
Have you enjoyed the opportunities given to you?
What new experiences would you like to try next half term?

It has also been lovely to welcome parents into school this week to review their child’s progress and celebrate all the amazing things they do each day. As you can imagine, we are incredibly proud of every single pupil and all that they have achieved this term.

As we come to the end of this busy and inspiring first half term, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all our children, staff, and families for their hard work, support, and positivity. It has been a joy to see so many happy faces, proud moments and incredible learning taking place across the school.

Each and every one of our pupils has achieved something special this term, from small personal goals to big milestones, and they should all feel immensely proud. Thank you to our families for working in such close partnership with us; your encouragement makes a huge difference.

We hope you enjoy looking back on the highlights of Autumn 1 and we can’t wait for everything that’s to come in Autumn 2!
