Year 6 took part in a Money Minds workshop where they had to use their budgeting skills to plan their own party. The children had to work out the total cost of their party by calculating the fixed and variable costs. When they confirmed this, they then had to work out the cost of an individual ticket to ensure they at least broke even. They had many discussions about how much extra they should add on to the ticket price, with some groups earning a lot more profit than others!

The children worked collaboratively in groups to plan their parties and presented their ideas to their peers. Thank you to Yorkshire Building Society for coming in and delivering such a fun and engaging session.
