Healthy Schools Week: The Importance of Mental Health

As part of Healthy Schools Week, Year 4 have been exploring the question: "How do I look after my mental health?"
The children took part in a mindfulness activity, imagining themselves in a calm and peaceful place. They thought carefully about what they might see, hear, smell, and feel in that space. They then brought the scene to life through drawing.
These mindful artworks now serve as a gentle reminder that they can return to that calm space in their minds whenever they need a moment to reset.
This was a meaningful activity that helped the children understand the importance of taking time to care for their minds as well as their bodies.
